About the America

The "America" model was made by Westclox from 1895 until 1964.  The case styles and movements changed over the years.  The "tin can" case design lasted from 1895 until 1932.

Model:  1927 "America" Alarm Clock

Made by:   Westclox

Stock No:  VINT1363

Features: This is a nice example of the "tin can" style America model from the Western Clock Company (Westclox).  It features a separate set and wind knob for time and alarm.  The alarm sets and shuts off with a lever at the bell.  Loud ticking and loud alarm sound.

Dimensions:  6 1/2" tall to the top of the ring

Condition:  The movement has been serviced and it runs and alarms as it should.  The nickel plating is EXCELLENT.  The plating is mostly worn off of the bell from years of polishing.  The original dial is VERY GOOD, but has a few stains to add character.  This clock will turn 90 years old next month.
