About the style 9 Big Ben

Quartzmatic

The style 9 Big Ben and Baby Ben case was designed by Ellworth Danz and is covered by design patent Des. 257,129 issued September 30, 1980. The style 9 was in preliminary production in LaSalle in the last month or two in 1979, and

in full production in Athens, Georgia in 1980.

The quartzmatic (battery) models began production in 1982.

Features:  The Quartzmatic models operate on one AA battery.  The alarm is a beeping sound.  The alarm set is a button on the top of the case. The movement makes an audible ticking sound.

Dimensions:  4 3/4" tall

Condition:  The movement has been serviced and it runs and alarms as it should.  The dial is EXCELLENT.  The original paint is VERY GOOD, with only a few minor nicks.
