About the style 1 Big Ben

The Big Ben, style 1 was made from 1909 until 1918.  During the years 1910 until 1918, Westclox would print the name of the retailer on the dial, with a minimum order of 25 clocks.  This is one of those advertising clocks.  This is from the business of the Blackfoot Commercial Company of Ovando, Montana.  The business opened in 1897 and is still in business today!

Model:  Big Ben, Style 1 advertising alarm clock

Features:
  This is the first model of the Big Ben.  It has a loud ticking sound and a loud alarm.  The alarm has a setting for "Steady" ringing or "Repeat".  The "Repeat" function stops and starts again and again until you shut it off.

Dimensions:  7" tall to top of ring, 5 1/4" wide

Condition:  The movement has been restored and it runs and alarms as it should.  The original dial is GOOD  The overall condition of the clock is GOOD. The "steady" label for the alarm setting is partially gone, but still readable.
