About the style 4 Big Ben
The style 4 was the second of the Big Ben/Baby
Ben series
to be designed by industrial design pioneer
Henry Dreyfus.
The style was made from 1934 until
1939.

This is a very nice example of the style 4 Big Ben
Chime Alarm that was made in
the Westclox facility in LaSalle, Illinois. It
has a soft ticking sound and loud alarm. The "Chime
Alarm" starts off slowly and then ramps up to a continuous
bell.

5 1/4" tall and 4 7/8" wide at
the base. |
Condition:
The movement has been serviced and it runs and alarms as it
should.
The original dial is EXCELLENT. The original nickel plating is
also EXCELLENT. The case has been recoated in the past
and they did a nice job as you can see in the pictures.
This one just turned 82 years old. |
